Bethany Brocco - Student Blog 6/16/26

Hello Everyone,

We are so excited to continue our education here at IIOP as the Summer 2026 cohort! After finishing our anatomy and physiology course this past week, we are diving into neuroanatomy to get a deeper understanding of the human body. Thanks to our palpation lab, anatomy has been an insightful course that has made us all very aware of our own bodies as well.

Various guest speakers have given us insight into our career progression as well, giving real world experience as a prosthetic user as well as being a prosthetist. It is exciting to see how the field is growing and the innovation of new devices are improving mobility and quality of life. 

Although we have a small group of only four, we are mighty. We have been becoming closer together as a cohort and checking out different places in and around the Tampa area. We were definitely fans of the petting zoo! It was fun to join the other cohorts at the IIOP formal, and at the karaoke night. We cannot wait for more opportunities to get to know everyone!
