Bethany Brocco - Student Blog 8/26/26

Hey everyone!

We wrapped up our first semester by getting in the lab and working on our hand skills. It was a lot of fun to get around in the lab creating padding, shaping metal and plastic, and casting the lower limb. Luckily, we had time to fill our casts, modify, and pull plastic to begin finishing a practice AFO. Learning more about the field and the materials we will be using by having a hands-on experience has been great. We're excited to be back to work on orthotic management of the upper extremity to start our fall semester!
